Good news for
first times buyers - Chancellor Alistair Darling has
axed stamp duty on homes under £250,000 in the
pre-election Budget.
Stamp duty on
residential property sales over £1m to increase to 5%
from April 2011.
Inheritance
tax threshold frozen for 4 years.
No change to
capital gains tax rates.
