Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) (Amendment) Regulations 2011

 

On 26th May 2011, the amended Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations came into force which covers electronic marketing such as emails, faxes and text messages. There is also a change to the rules in relation to the use of Cookies on websites. New powers have been introduced for the Information Commissioner to serve monetary penalties and to investigate when the law may have been broken.

Hardmans will work hard to ensure our website complies with all privacy rules. We will over the next few months complete a full assessment of our website to ensure we comply with the new rules.

 

We do not collect personal information unless you specifically complete a contact form on our site. This form is your authority to send us your details in order for someone in our office to contact you. All information you supply to us is covered by our Data Protection Policy which is available to view on request at any time.
